Designed for the bird watchers, this bundle includes a mini stamp print of visualising the bird song of 6 different birds, the bird colours print and the feather t-shirt.
The mini print has been created from audio files of 6 different birds to create a visual representation of bird song. The stamp has been riso printed and finished with a champagne foil and embossing.
The feather t-shirt is made from organic cotton and has been screen-printed with water based ink. The design has been created from data on the 100 most recorded bird species in the UK where each vane is a different bird species. The left hand side of the feather looks at current data and the right hand side looks at the same species 40 years previously.
The large print uses data from the garden birdwatch survey to explore the most prevalent colour flying into our gardens. The proportion of gardens that the top 20 birds have been reported in are then weighted by the proportion of colour visible on each bird to provide this colourful ranking.
Using data from the British Bird Atlas, I compared the most commonly recorded birds in the most recent survey with the same birds 40 years earlier.
