The Details
Using data from the British Bird Atlas, the left hand side of the feather represents the 100 most recorded birds in the most recent survey where each individual feather vane is scaled to a different bird species.
The right hand side of the feather compares the same bird species 40 years previously providing the organic shape of a bird feather.
