Naturally Curious

Every print begins with a curiosity sparked by the natural world. Each line and mark on the page have been handcrafted from data and are designed to illuminate the stories within the numbers.

However, some marks appear unintentionally when placed in plan chests or used as displays at design markets. These mini-prints have been created from those larger, damaged prints.

They're a chapter in the story. Perhaps the closing chapter.

Along with the ploterre jotters, these prints allow me to close the loop and remove the final piece of waste from my process. 

When I begin a print, I'm never quite sure how it will turn out. It's the stories that I uncover along the way that ultimately shape and sculpt the final piece. So to me, these prints are a bit like the start of my journey. There's a snippet of a visual that I have in my head but it's just that. A snippet or in this case an off-cut. Along with a healthy dose of natural curiosity.
