One of the first sets of screen prints I produced were quite large in size and abstract in nature. And for the month of June, they've been on display in Newhaven (near Brighton) as part of the Harvey Lloyd 50 years of print exhibition.
I have a couple of artist proofs left over from those editions, which I'm making available online until the end of June to coincide with the exhibition.
There are 3 of each available.
The three prints are detailed below:
NATURAL ARCHITECT Green Print with gridded lines. Data describing all the special sites of scientific interest and conservation areas across the UK, arranged geographically. Horizontal lines depict marine sites and vertical depict terrestrial sites.
DAZZLE BUOY Pink and blue print with angled grids. Data describing the swell direction and wave heights around the coastline of the UK, where each grid is arranged geographically and was designed to represent a dazzle pattern - a marine camouflage designed to conceal the very thing that the data explores.
DAWN CHORUS Orange and pink print with ribboned lines. The curling ribbons falling into the rising sun visualise the amplitude of a small section of the dawn chorus.
